El modelo y actor surcoreano, nacido en Seúl, Corea del Sur, fue descubierto por exploradores y entró en el círculo del mundo del espectáculo a los 14 años. Después de protagonizar series de televisión y CM en Corea del Sur, se dirigió a Japón cuando tenía 17 años.
